On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the 6th class held their Mini Scientist competition.
There were so many excellent experiments this year! The two 6th classes arrived at
school at 9:00 AM, giddy with excitement.
At 9:15, they headed down to the hall to set everything up, including tables, posters,
and games/activities. All the other classes came down to see the impressive projects,
and many parents joined to check out the amazing work the students had spent weeks
preparing.
The younger children from all classes also came to see the 6th class’s interesting
experiments. Some groups engaged with them by giving out sweets and prizes while
playing games and asking questions, adding to the fun. One group, who had done an
interesting project about how the heart works, gave out crochet hearts as a reward for
their game! All the groups had amazing posters and experiments.
The friendly judges arrived and spent a long time inspecting the magnificent
experiments that the students had worked so hard on. Afterward, the judges had a
difficult time deciding the winners of the 2025 CETNS Mini Scientist competition. It was
a tough decision, but in the end, they had to pick a winner.
The judges gathered the two 6th classes in the center of the hall to announce the
winners. Everyone hoped they had won. The judges then announced that while every
project was amazing, there had to be one winner. The winners were Aisling and Stella,
with their impressive project on “Sugar vs. Mold”! Best of luck, girls, in the second
round!
Everyone had a great day and received a certificate for their exceptional work. All
students were exhausted after a busy day presenting their projects.
