We were delighted to have many CETNS parents who work in the area of engineering visit our classes this week.
Stephen (Sinéad’s Dad from 1st Class) visited First Class. He told us about his job as an electrical engineer and answered all of our questions about engineering.
Richard Nelson (Sophie's Dad from Senior Infants) came in to talk to 6th class. He is a chartered engineer in the civil and structural engineering fields.
Joe Gartlan (Julia's Dad from 6th class) also came in to talk to 6th class. He is a contracts manager with SISK, an international construction company.
Ríona Finn (Rowan's mum from Senior Infants), a Goldsmith and CAD designer, explained the work she does and shared some beautiful examples with us including rings, metalwork and various ornate pieces.
Gianluca Civiello (Samuele & Chloe's dad from 5th & 2nd class) came in to talk about AI and fraud prevention in the tech industry where he works as a senior manager in Paypal.
