3rd and 4th Classes had a very busy engineering week. Ríona, a CETNS parent who works as a goldsmith visited us to talk about how rings are designed and made. She showed us how a ring starts as an idea, then is designed digitally, measured, and carefully 3D printed. We learned that even small details matter, like choosing the right size and setting stones securely.
Engineer Paul (Shima's dad) paid 3rd class a visit. He explained his role in Intel in a really fun way - giving robots a brain! He told us that being an engineer means you get to solve problems and build the future. 3rd class were definitely truly inspired and had a great time!
In another engineering activity, classes worked on engineering projects using LEGO SPIKE. We built simple machines and programmed them to move and react. It was exciting to test our designs and improve them, just like real engineers.
