The Great Sugar Loaf
By Enzo, Aisling and Kylian
On the 30th of September, Eugenia's and Conor's 6th class went to The Great Sugar Loaf.
At 9:15am, we all got onto the bus.
The bus was filled with excitement. We were lost for a brief moment
but we eventually found the right place. We got off the bus at the trail and started to hike the mountain.
It started off as a slight uphill stroll before it soon became more steep. There was a lot of sheep poo and halfway up we stopped for a snack. We then continued to walk but suddenly, it became much more steep and some rocks were loose. Finally, we all managed to get up .We took our lunch out and enjoyed the view. We stayed there for 20 minutes.
We started our journey down on a less challenging route. It was a very fun trip. We had a quick bite to eat at the bottom .We all chilled for a bit while waiting for some of the others who were yet to reach the bottom. We all got into pairs and hopped on to the bus. Everyone had a lovely hike, though some found it hard at times. We think everyone enjoyed it.
The bus had a great buzz and was full of happy faces. There was a brief bathroom stop but a smooth journey back other wise.
We made it back to the school at about 2:00 pm. We also got less homework because our behaviour was excellent. The class had a great time.
