Picker Pals

We participate in the Picker Pals programme which is an environmental action programme for primary school children, their families, schools and communities. Picker Pals motivates children through a fun song and story world, and the unique Picker Pack, equipping and inspiring children on local litter-picking adventures.

1st class are the class involved in the Picker Pals programme for our school. Each year, the class receive their 'picker pack', which contains two litter pickers, gloves, instructions and bags. Each week, a lucky student gets to take this pack home to go litter picking with their loved ones. When they return the pack, they are asked to talk about what they found with their class and discuss how they can prevent the littering of these items and come up with solutions.

1st class will also learn the Picker Pals song, will read the Picker Pals story and will complete their beautiful workbooks. 1st classes are excited about having an opportunity to bring the Picker Pals pack home to pick up some litter in their area.
