We are thrilled to announce that CETNS has just received a Curious Minds Gold Award in recognition of our engagement of STEM learning across the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and STEM Showcase.
As you know, our students enjoyed a wide range of hands-on, curiosity-driven learning in STEM this year, thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of our teachers and staff.
We are also delighted that the contributions of our CETNS parents, who generously shared their expertise as guest speakers throughout the year, were acknowledged by the judging panel.
Below is an excerpt from the judges’ feedback:
"Congratulations to everyone at Castleknock Educate Together NS on delivering an excellent log of your Curious Minds experiences this year. The log clearly demonstrates evidence of an impressive range of STEM engagement across the school, incorporating key speakers, STEM Weeks and projects. Fantastic to see the range of work for the STEPS young engineering projects. We were very impressed with the number of speakers that came to the school this year. I am sure they inspired all of the learners. Congratulations on the school’s achievement in the Intel mini–Scientist Competition. The learners clearly worked extremely hard on these projects, and I am sure the school community enjoyed the Show and Tell.
