As part of our work towards our Food and Biodiversity Green flag, every class in CETNS recently planted different fruit and vegetables. We hope to harvest and prepare delicious dishes in June with our fresh produce!
We have also grown a variety of wildflowers from seed this year including nigellas, poppies, sunflowers and sweetpea. If you would like to bring a wildflower home to plant in your own garden, please bring in a used coffee cup to transport it.
Our school wormery is all set up for the arrival of 500 red worms in September. The Green Team will paint the wormery over the next few weeks.
We are also currently welcoming swifts to our swift nest boxes in our outdoor classroom. The swift call signal has been switched on. We are looking forward to swifts making their home in CETNS.
