Connecting Hearts: A Creative Collaboration with Iqra and the Arts Council
A few weeks ago, Castleknock Educate Together National School had the pleasure of welcoming a very special visitor — Iqra, a parent in our school community and a talented artist currently working on a wider creative project in partnership with the Arts Council.
Iqra generously gave her time to lead a beautiful art project with our pupils called “Connecting Hearts.” Each child contributed a heart-shaped thumbprint and signed their name — and our staff joined in too, adding their own thumbprints and signatures to the piece. The result is a colourful and meaningful artwork that reflects the warmth, creativity, and connectedness of our whole school community.
You can catch a glimpse of the children’s stunning work in the video linked below (our school's contribution appears around the 45-second mark). The finished piece is vibrant, heartfelt, and will make a fantastic addition to our school environment.
We are so grateful to Iqra for sharing her time, creativity, and energy with us. This project was a joyful opportunity for our pupils and staff to express themselves through art, and we’re proud to have been part of it.

Thank you, Iqra!
